Church of Jesus Christ of the Universe

XXVIII Week of Ordinary Time – Year II
Wis 7:7-11; Ps 89(90); Heb 4: 12-13; Mk 10: 17-30
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
May the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Without meaning to, we found ourselves on 13th of October. And we know how much the Blessed Virgin Mary cares about this date: She has told us several times to remember the 13th of May and the 13th of October. We prayed last week offering ourselves to the Lord so that more and more people would understand the true, the profound meaning of the apparitions of Mary Most Holy in Medjugorje. That they would not just stop at “Mary appears, there are healings, people pray”, but understand those apparitions in our time, in this time.
This week I ask each one of us to elevate through our priesthood – through the royal priesthood and, like us, through the ministerial priesthood – all suffering, all kinds of suffering, physical suffering, moral suffering, spiritual suffering; elevate all the suffering of this humanity. Because in doing so we can diminish, destroy – whatever term you like – the disintegrating energy, all corruption. We know that all corruption, like all good, all comes out of the heart of man, the good and the bad. None of us can say that we are not touched by corruption. We are touched by original sin, we are touched by all the sin on Earth.
It is God who acts through us, so please, do not burden yourselves, but allow God to use us. Because by overcoming our corruption – each one of us has a particular one – we overcome the corruption that is in humanity. And raising the suffering of the innocent, the little ones, the aborted and frozen children is a help to make this transition, because that suffering becomes redemptive, it becomes a blessing for us. Let us prepare from now, from today.
We know that at every Mass, God allows many souls to participate. Certainly, the Church in heaven participates and they too, believe me, welcome these prayer intentions. It is not that we alone offer ourselves and pray for the intentions we announce each week. The Church of heaven, even the Saints, even Mary Most Holy pray for these intentions. Let us join with Her, let us go and collect this suffering. The first passage to overcome suffering, the one that frees us to reach resurrection, is God’s forgiveness. Forgiveness is the greatest medicine. And then, we continue.
On this feast, O Mother, I wish to place in your Heart all your Church, because the Church of Jesus Christ is either your Church or it is not the Church. I wish to place in your Heart all the little ones, the last, the innocent, all those on this Earth who suffer for so many reasons, who suffer from war, who suffer from disease, who suffer from hunger. But how much suffering there is from the innocent, from all those who suffer the actions of this humanity, the actions of men, and they suffer in silence. I also wish to place Creation in your Heart, for it too suffers, it suffers with us and reacts because of this suffering.
And through your Heart, O Mother, may everything be brought before the throne of God, so that His forgiveness, His mercy, His love may descend on every man and woman of good will who desires Him, who seeks Him. And may every man and every woman feel liberated from all guilt; may every man and every woman who chooses God with their whole being feel this love of God, feel that this love is stronger than all sickness, stronger than all sin, stronger than death; feel the power of this love that touches every cell of the body and feel that every cell begins to live again, because it feels Life, it feels the Author of Life.
O Father, send your forgiveness again. Jesus Christ, your Son, asks You today on behalf of us all. Once again, He takes all our sins upon Himself so that they may be consumed in his love. And You, O Father, send the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to forgive, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
These three Readings together point to a path that is incredibly beautiful to look at, a simple path that according to human thinking is impossible; but nothing is impossible to God.
The first Reading speaks of Wisdom and describes that having Wisdom is more than all treasures, more than life, more than health. That Wisdom – we could say Jesus Christ and we are not wrong – helps most to see the path, Wisdom is the meaning of life; to have Wisdom to understand the meaning of why we live: “Why am I here? What am I to do? Where am I going?”, but it must be this meaning in God: the profound meaning of a life that is given to us and that we will have to account for and give back at the end in order to live eternally. To understand the meaning of offering, of suffering, of toiling, the meaning of trials.
If we do not come to understand life in this way, we do not understand the cross and therefore we understand nothing. If we do not understand the reason for the cross, the cross of Christ first, but then that of each one of us, it means not understanding life. We can live, but it is not true that we live, we survive. For us, if we want to go a step further, if we do not understand this, how can we understand the call of every Christian to be Christ-like. And the call of every Christian is the call to follow: “Whoever wants to come after me”1, the call to offer one’s life for humanity, the call to bring and proclaim that the Lord is risen, not with words, but with deeds. The meaning of life gives the way: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life”.2
If we start like this, I guarantee that we will find all the answers. If we begin by asking the Lord these questions, it is the way to all the answers. But in that passage all fears are removed, because with every question we ask the Lord in this way, sincerely and by making ourselves available to true Wisdom, God frees, enlightens, brings light where there is darkness, where there is confusion. One of Lucifer’s great games is precisely that of confusion, and the world today is quite confused. God’s light removes fears; and we overcome trials, we overcome corruption – this is the intention of the week. That is the first step.
Then, St Paul goes even further: he speaks to us of the word of God that descends to the juncture between soul and spirit. This word of God (we have been talking about it these days) is precisely that gift of love, that sword that penetrates not only at the level of the soul, because in everything I said before, we were on the level of the soul: the fears, the trials, the choices, the discernment, the understanding,… Once we have taken the first step, the word of God, the gift of love – it may be different for everyone – goes further. It takes us to the juncture between soul and spirit. St Paul says: “It lays everything bare”3. Do not see it as something bad. The word lays everything bare, everything that is a superstructure, everything that has been placed on our soul. And in that interface to the spirit – you know the spirit is either immersed in God and expands or moves away from God and tightens itself – but into the spirit only Jesus Christ can enter. That is clear to us, isn’t it?
However, in this connection, imagine a pipe (a bad example, I know…) through which the spirit communicates with the soul, this pipe can become blocked and no longer grasps the spirit. There, everything must be laid bare, but that is a later step. First we must have made those choices I mentioned.
In that laying everything bare once again resides the whole path of transformation, of purification, of awakening to the image and likeness of God, of cleansing, of changing everything, all our thinking. Everything within us must be cleansed to allow spirit and soul to become one, and that is the condition under which we then enter the New Creation. Nothing impure will enter4, nothing. We know that all our thoughts start from the heart. Even scientists, I told you some time ago, have now understood that it is not so much the head from which thoughts start, but from the heart. And everything, even our thoughts, must become the thoughts of Christ, must be transformed, conformed to His thought. That is why the word of God is like a sword that goes there, that sword that pierced the heart of Jesus, from which blood and water came forth5.
We know, and we have spoken several times about the memories of the soul, and we know that it is there where the wounds, the suffering, the guilt, the guilt-ridden, where all the fears come from. But through those memories of the soul – it has a memory, a will and an intellect6 – our path also starts. And if those memories are not purified, we start off on a path guided by fears, by suffering, by limits, and not guided by the spirit. Therefore, purification is not so much a condition that God demands because He wants us to be perfect, but because God loves us – it is an action of God that is impossible to man, but nothing is impossible to God7. It is not an obligation; it is an act of love.
We have walked all these years for everything to come under God’s light, for everything to heal, and I say that this healing must also come to an end. I would like to say for myself, but also for you: ‘Enough! Let us move on. Let us immerse ourselves into the spirit and allow everything that is still stirring in the soul to murmur, but not to give it any more weight’. This is when I say that it is enough to revolve around ourselves. There is no point in stopping there again and again, that is perfectionism, but there is no need for perfectionism on the spiritual path. Love is needed, faith and trust in God are needed; certainty is needed: ‘Enough, I do not want to know about this ugly thought any more’, and I sincerely present it to God, even if it still comes back to me, it is no longer my problem. In my priesthood, when I unite myself to Christ, He will also unite Himself, therefore I cannot continue: And I still have this, and I still have that, and I still have that other. Enough! That gift of love, which for each one is different, goes down to the juncture between the soul and the spirit precisely to eliminate that corruption which procures those thoughts. So, first step is: ‘I want it’, then, if we do not go deep and remain at the first step, we will never eliminate the root of those thoughts. I hope it is clear why.
This is the action of Jesus Christ; I said it before: no one can get there. When we read the Letter to the Hebrews – for me, it was written by St Paul – he says: ‘The Word’. Who is the Word? It is the Word of God. And who is the Word of God? It is Jesus Christ, the Word. Do not just think of the Gospel – the Word. When Paul says, ‘the Word’, he means Jesus Christ, the Word of God. So, it is only He who enters there, between the spirit and the soul, and touches also the spirit. Only He.
The Gospel, I think, sums up everything I have said by showing a man who goes to Jesus and says to Him, “Good Master, what shall I do?” And He says to him first: “The commandments?” And the man: “Ah, I already respect them”. Jesus looks at him and loves him. Next step: “Sell everything”. And do not think as usual only of material things but sell everything, sell your thoughts, your ideas, your beliefs. Sell what you think is the most just and absolute thing, “Sell everything, give it to the poor”, and even here, do not think of the poor who have no money. Give these beliefs to those who do not have any of them, maybe they need them, because they have to start the path by keeping the commandments. “So, sell them those things and then follow me and I will explain the rest to you. If you do not follow me, I will not even explain the rest to you”. That is clear. If we follow Him, what I said before comes into play: He takes us to this interface, He takes us to free our soul, He takes us to the spirit. You understand that this is the Christian path.
The worst thing that we can do to someone – unfortunately, it is also done by priests and those on the higher levels – is precisely to block this action of the spirit. It is like saying: ‘This far and no further’. It is terrible. It is like saying what is right for Our Lady to say, what is right for Our Lady to do. The apparitions are true, they are false. And then we become judge of the Holy Spirit. That is the greatest sin we can do because we repeat the sin of Lucifer. Then afterwards we will have done it because we are what we are.
That path “Come and follow me” Jesus says it to every soul. That path is personal to every soul. In that path every soul will have its own passages. In that path we cannot standardize anything. We can standardize on the level of commandments, of the soul, of fears. That is clearly for everyone. But when we then go into the spirit, and we want to standardize, we do murder.
This is something only God can do, not even priests can: spiritual guidance… A good priest on that level can look and say: ‘I understand it like this’, but he cannot interfere. If he interferes, he hurts. Only Jesus Christ can enter. And be careful not to say that the minister is the same as Jesus Christ. My legs are shaking just thinking that I am Jesus Christ, but poor you! It is subtle, and Jesus says it clearly. When Peter says, “But then who the hell is saved? Nobody!” And Jesus says to him: “Yes, on Earth no one”8, humanly spoken, but God decided to send His Son, He decided to send the Holy Spirit. He decided at this time to send Mary Most Holy; He decided to send instruments called the Central Nucleus. It is God’s action; it is not man’s or some man’s skill. I do not know if you understand.
These are simple things, but they give meaning to life. Nowadays for all humanity on Earth the prayer intention of last week, to welcome or not to welcome in its depth the presence of Mary Most Holy, means deciding to live or to die. There is nothing in between. We cannot put anything in between: ‘Yes, but they pray there, yes, but perhaps, yes, but…’. Everyone needs to be able to say that Mary Most Holy appears or does not appear. But whether She appears or not does not depend on what we say. This is the presumption of being greater than Mary Most Holy; it is a blasphemy. Like that of saying that Our Lady must submit to the parish priest. I do not know how these people can go on reading the Gospel.
Is there confusion in the world? Yes, but the greatest confusion unfortunately is this one: being no more able to discern between good and evil from the altars. And how will things on Earth work then? They are no longer able to see good and evil, they are no longer able to discern whether it is Our Lady or the devil. And it takes commissions. But I remember and saw the peasants reaching Medjugorje in the early days: they understood immediately without any commissions. The entire Medjugorje gathered around the Church, all the neighbourhood. They came from the fields, they left their tools, they were on their knees for three hours: they understood.
So, we gave our lives for Mary, let us not go against anyone, let us pray. However, if we are not able to let ourselves be guided by God from within, I say to you: change religion. It is better, there are more beautiful, simpler ones. Let us go and find the Christians. The most beautiful are the atheists, in my opinion, who do not have a lot of fuss, they do what they think. If you want to follow Christ, follow Him to the end. Do not compromise with the truth. We deceive ourselves, if we think we can deceive God. If we put it on ourselves, it means that we keep on going. You see, in the end Jesus is very clear: we will have brothers, sisters, mothers, children, fields, along with persecutions. Let us go on. Do they persecute us? Hallelujah. We will win corruption in those persecutions. Everyone has his own corruption. In every corruption I stand before God and look at the meaning of life.
Let us pray.
Holy and merciful Father, who has nourished us with the Body and Blood of your Son for this participation in His Sacrifice, grant us to communicate His very life: He lives and reigns for ever and ever.
The Lord be with you.
And may the blessing of the Risen Lord, who lives within each one of us, the blessing of His life, of His love, descend upon us and through us may it reach every man and woman of good will, may it reach Purgatory, may it reach all Creation, all creatures. May His love and His life defeat death within us and around us; may His love defeat every form of corruption that is in our hearts, that is around us. May His blessing and His light also descend upon all those who have chosen to serve Lucifer, may they descend upon all hell, and cast it into the stench of sulphur, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
