The Face of God

Message of Saint Raphael the Archangel of 2 July 2013

Dearest brothers and sisters of the Earth! You are in a time of great confusion. There is confusion in the hearts, in families and among populations. Your humanity is walking on a slippery and uncertain path. Despite many repeated calls from Heaven, people do not convert to God; on the contrary, they move further away from Him. Why is this? Because most people seek many things, but they do not seek God and do not want to contemplate His face.

The face of God is the only mirror in which humans can see themselves because you have been created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, seeking the face of God means forgetting the image you have of yourselves or the one that others have fitted on you, to find the pure image of your true selves as formed by the Creator’s hands. You can achieve this only by standing face to face with God without hiding yourselves, taking away, or adding anything to who you are. In God’s face, you find your true identity and the uniqueness of your person. […] God’s face is radiant and on it shines the light of the truth. Therefore, those who live in darkness do not want to approach the face of God. […]

God wants the humanity of the entire universe to be recapitulated in Christ. This is the programme of these times, which are the last. […] However, no one can be reunited with Christ before seeing His face: those who do not want to see the face of Christ will not enter the new creation. […]

Creation too is waiting for the manifestation of the children of God, as the glorious Apostle Saint Paul reminds you in his letter (Rom 8:19-23). […] Creation seeks the face of God because it is the source of life. Looking at the face of God is not just a nice phrase, but rather a deep need of all creation. Creation can see the face of God only through God’s children. Look at what happens on Earth instead: most people no longer reflect the face of God but that of Satan. This corrupts creation and generates disasters, as nature rises up against humanity. Nature no longer recognises in humans the face of God, who is the source of life, but a face that generates death.

What does God expect from His children? He expects them to fully reveal His face and His image so that, through them, He may touch all creation. The first great task and the first great testimony of the faithful is this: to fully reveal the face of God. […]

Creation suffers, too, when it sees the face of God crucified and afflicted in the children of God. Creation rejoices when it sees it rising. I invite you to manifest more and more the power of the face of God, even when you are crucified, so that your face, too, may rise as Jesus’ face did and be as radiant as His. The living beings around you will feel it. They take part in your suffering and absorb much of it. […] Offer to God the sufferings of all living beings and implore protection for them so that you may be protected as well. Ask God to forgive the humanity of the Earth for the cruelty it inflicts on living beings and the environment. […] You are asked to have a just and balanced understanding of your responsibility as children of God towards creation. […]

Prayer, too, is contemplation of the face of God. I ask you: do you contemplate the face of God when you pray? Are you able to absorb His power to be similar to Him and pass on divine power to others? […] God is truly present in the spirit of the person who seeks Him, and the human spirit can and must contemplate the face of God; however, the spirit of the person must be pure. The new creation will not descend magically from Heaven. The new creation is the Kingdom of God that grows within you, a seed that develops and leads you to contemplate more and more the beauty and power of the face of God. […] Stand before the face of God and let Him look at you; let Him search your inmost place, and you will understand what you need to correct within yourselves. […]

Confusion on Earth will increase in proportion to humanity’s distancing from God. Now more than ever, Christians are called to look at God face to face so that they may receive the Light of His Face and reflect it onto a world increasingly shrouded in darkness. I will pray for you.

I bless you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”
